Matsushita has found an answer to a thoroughly modern dilemma (EP 789 488). What do you do when a football match you are watching goes into extra time and runs over the start of a film on another channel? The company has made a TV set containing a recordable video disc, which will start to record the movie while you finish watching the football. The disc continues recording when the soccer ends, but allows you to begin watching the movie from the start.
