Want to record radio shows as easily as TV programmes? TRW of Redondo Beach,
California, has an answer (EP 881 829). Audio-tape decks are useless for
recording radio shows, because the longest reliable cassette runs for about 90
minutes—and you only get that by turning the tape over. So TRW has
combined a radio tuner and digital timer with a VCR tape deck that runs
conventional VHS tape at a very low speed: this records at least nine hours of
FM stereo radio.
