The Alliance Pet Supply Company of Hong Kong is patenting a 鈥減et鈥檚 bicycle鈥
that can only move when the owner is there to keep an eye on it (GB 2 324 235).
The bike鈥檚 front wheel is made like a hamster鈥檚 treadwheel. When it is in
contact with the ground it pushes the bike in whatever direction the pet is
peddling. Flicking a lever lifts the front wheel of the bike up off the ground
so that it no longer runs along鈥攁llowing the pet to exercise in safety.
