One hundred years of patents history has come to an end with the move of
London鈥檚 patent library in Holborn to the new British Library in St Pancras.
Although anyone was free to use the old library, readers now need a photo ID
pass to get into St Pancras鈥攚here the opening hours are shorter and
there鈥檚 no weekend access. Whereas readers could search the vaults at the old
site in person, they now have to wait an hour or so for library staff to find
the documents they want.
