Pomegranate Artbooks of San Francisco – and Maldon, Essex – has come up with Essential Einstein ($22.95, ISBN 0 87654 472 3), a collection of 60 duo-tone photographs of the man himself. Interspersed with quotes, introduced by an essay by Alan Bisbort, compiled and edited by Allen Boyce Eddington, it’s a fascinating record of Einstein from his middle to old age. And, yes, the leather jacket pic is included.
