WHILE a summary of the most extensive review yet undertaken of Australia’s
environment has been available since last July, we had to wait till late last
month for the full 544-page report. The State of the Environment 1996
was launched by the Environment Minister Robert Hill. Both the report and
a CD-ROM version can be purchased for $49.95 each from CSIRO Publishing,
PO Box 1139, Collingwood, VIC 3066. The two can be obtained together for
$84.95.
