Deutsche Telekom is giving a thousand of its customers the chance to make
phone calls using the Internet. The company is the first major operator in the
world to experiment with Internet phone calls. The trial will allow customers to
call selected areas in North America and Japan for between a fifth and a tenth
of the price of standard long-distance calls.
