There is a wealth of information on volcanoes at http://volcano.und.edu/.
The site has everything from a roundup of the 45 most recent eruptions to a
cheery list of all the eruptions that have killed more than 500 people. The
record is held by the Tambora volcano in Indonesia, which erupted in 1815 and
killed more than 90 000 people. So far the Montserrat volcano has killed about
20 people.
