The best-known junk e-mailer on the Net has agreed to pay $2 million
to settle a lawsuit from a Californian Internet service provider. Earthlink
Network of Pasadena had accused Sanford Wallace and his company, Cyber
Promotions of Philadelphia, of trespassing on its computer system by flooding
its users with unsolicited e-mail advertisements.
