The latest karaoke machine to come out of Japan will allow singers to sound
like Louis Armstrong’s trumpet, or Ben Webster’s tenor saxophone. Matsushita,
the parent company of Panasonic, has developed a system that converts a singer’s
voice into the sound of almost any musical instrument, from the trumpet and
saxophone to the sousaphone. The karaoke machine is due to be launched later
this year.
