A new CD recorder from the Korean electronics company LG Electronics is a
double first. The ADR-620 has two drives: one plays a music CD four times as
fast as normal speed, while the other runs a blank CD at the same speed to copy
one hour’s music in a quarter of the time. And, alarmingly for Europe’s nascent
digital radio services, the deck also has a converter that lets it record
digital music broadcasts straight onto CDs.
