"Ciarán Gilligan-Lee leads the Causal Inference Research Lab, a research team focusing on teaching machines cause and effect, at Spotify. He is also an honorary associate professor at University College London. Now based in Dublin, his research focuses on using concepts and tools from fundamental physics to develop algorithms for extracting cause and effect from correlations. He holds a DPhil (PhD) in the foundations of quantum theory from University of Oxford. His work has been regularly covered in the media including by Newsweek, MIT Technology Review, The Times, and of course New Scientist.
You can read more about Ciarán's research in from the Perimeter Institute. His is 3.
