Isabel Baldwin joined New Scientist in 2023 and is the title's social media manager. She holds a BSc in biology from the University of Bath, where she focused on evolution, physiology and ecology. Before joining New Scientist, she worked on African tropical plant conservation as a science intern at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. In 2025 she received a in recognition of her work driving reader engagement through New Scientist's social media channels.
