By Alison Flood

Daisy Fancourt is the author of Art Cure, a book that really lives up to its subtitle, 鈥淭he science of how the arts transform our health鈥. We spoke to her about how everything from music to magic tricks can improve our health, as well as how a meeting with Brian Eno helped improve treatment for surgical patients, why governments shouldn鈥檛 be cutting back on arts funding and how we can all make some simple changes to inject more of the arts into our own lives, with great health effects.
